Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of VetoVow for iPhone and iPad. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms and Apple’s applicable App Store terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The service

VetoVow is a baby-name discovery and private matching utility. It provides a curated reference catalog, voting, shortlisting, notes, export, and optional anonymous couple sync. Meanings, origins, pronunciations, and popularity rankings are informational and can vary across languages, sources, years, and traditions.

Acceptable use

You may use VetoVow for personal, lawful purposes. You must not attempt to access another person’s private votes, probe or disrupt the sync service, automate excessive requests, reverse engineer protected service interfaces except where law expressly permits, upload malicious content, or use an invite code without the creator’s authorization.

Your content and choices

You retain responsibility for display names, shortlist notes, and exports you create. Do not place confidential medical, legal, financial, or identifying information in notes. You are responsible for confirming the identity of the person with whom you share an invite code and for destinations selected through Apple’s share sheet.

VetoVow Lifetime

VetoVow includes a limited number of free votes and offers a one-time, non-consumable VetoVow Lifetime in-app purchase for continued access to premium functionality. The price shown in the app is supplied by Apple and may vary by storefront, currency, taxes, or Apple’s pricing rules. Payment is charged to your Apple Account after confirmation. The purchase does not auto-renew.

Restore purchases with the same Apple Account that made the purchase. Apple controls transaction processing, Family Sharing availability, refunds, and billing support under its policies. Unless required by law, we cannot directly issue or alter App Store transactions.

Availability and changes

We may improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue app features or the optional sync service. Offline features are designed to remain useful without pairing, but network services may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, provider incidents, security work, or events outside our control. We may update the bundled name catalog and fix inaccurate reference data.

Privacy

The VetoVow Privacy Policy explains local storage, optional anonymous sync, purchases, export, retention, and deletion.

Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VetoVow is provided “as is” and “as available.” It is a collaborative reference tool, not medical, genetic, religious, cultural, legal, or naming advice. You are responsible for independently checking spelling, meaning, pronunciation, cultural context, and legal registration requirements before choosing or registering a name.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, relationship decisions, or reliance on name information arising from use of VetoVow. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Termination

You may stop using VetoVow at any time and can delete app and optional sync data from Settings. We may restrict abusive access to network services where reasonably necessary to protect users, privacy, security, providers, or the integrity of the service.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the app, services, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective means you accept the updated Terms to the extent allowed by law.
