Privacy policy

FreezerGrid Lab is designed to collect no data for the developer. There is no FreezerGrid account, advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, or developer-operated inventory server.

Inventory data

Freezer, rack, box, sample, aliquot, barcode, position, owner, project, notes, due-date, and custody-event data you enter is stored locally on your device. The developer does not receive this content. FreezerGrid Lab is intended for non-clinical research inventory and should not be used to store patient health information.

Barcode camera

Camera access is requested only when you choose the barcode scanner. Supported codes are recognized on the device. FreezerGrid Lab does not upload or retain camera frames.

Apple Watch

The Watch app can queue a sample check-in or check-out and deliver it to the paired iPhone using Apple’s Watch connectivity services. Pending actions remain on the Watch until acknowledged; they are not sent to a developer-operated server.

Purchases

Apple processes App Store purchases. FreezerGrid Lab reads verified StoreKit product and entitlement status on the device to present and unlock Pro access. The developer does not receive payment-card details.

Notifications

Sample due reminders are scheduled locally only after you grant notification permission. FreezerGrid Lab does not send sample data to a notification server.

Encrypted archives

FreezerGrid Lab creates an encrypted inventory archive only when you request one. Your passphrase is not stored or recoverable by the developer. After you export a file, the destination you choose controls its handling. Restore validates the archive before replacing local inventory.

Retention and deletion

Local inventory remains on the device until you replace it with a verified archive or remove the app and its data. Create an encrypted archive first if you want a portable backup. Because the developer does not operate an account or inventory server, there is no server-side inventory to delete.

Diagnostics

Apple may provide developers with aggregated crash or performance diagnostics only if you have separately opted to share them with app developers in system settings. FreezerGrid Lab does not embed its own analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
