Need help? Email [email protected] with your iOS or watchOS version, device model, and a description of what happened. Do not send archive passphrases, App Store credentials, patient data, or confidential sample notes.
Locate a sample
- Open Locate.
- Search by sample name, barcode, or position—or choose the barcode scanner.
- Select the highlighted box position to review its status and details.
Check a sample in or out
Use the Check Out or Check In action from the sample workspace. Each successful action adds a custody event. On Apple Watch, an action may show as queued until the paired iPhone acknowledges it.
Restore a purchase
- Open Settings and choose View Pro options.
- Select Restore.
- Stay signed in to the Apple Account that made the purchase.
Restoring does not charge you again. Apple manages refunds and billing at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Export an encrypted archive
Open Settings → Data, enter an 8-character-or-longer passphrase, then choose Export Encrypted Archive. Store the passphrase separately: FreezerGrid Lab cannot recover it. Keep exported files only in a location you trust.
Restore an archive
Enter the archive’s passphrase in Settings, choose Restore Encrypted Archive, select the file, and inspect the confirmation. A confirmed restore replaces the current local inventory only after the archive passes decryption and validation.
Barcode scanning
Grant camera permission when prompted and hold a supported barcode inside the scanner. If camera access was declined, enable it in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera → FreezerGrid Lab.
Due reminders
Enable Sample due reminders in Settings. Reminders are scheduled locally. Review permission in iOS Settings → Notifications → FreezerGrid Lab if they do not appear.
Research-use boundary
FreezerGrid Lab is an organizational tool for non-clinical research inventory. It does not validate sample identity, temperature compliance, chain-of-custody regulations, GLP compliance, or clinical safety. Confirm critical laboratory decisions with your institution’s approved procedures.
