Frequently asked questions
Where are repair records stored?
Repair tickets, customer contact fields, evidence photos, signatures, payments, and custody events stay inside KaratDocket’s private local app container. Nexlevel does not operate an account or cloud database for these records.
How do I create a complete intake?
Choose New intake, identify the customer and piece, document visible condition, attach an evidence photo when useful, enter repair scope and estimate, then capture authorization. Required information is checked before the ticket is saved.
Why did KaratDocket ask for Photos, Camera, or notification access?
Photos and Camera are used only when you choose to attach condition evidence. Notifications are requested only when you deliberately enable a reminder for a real due date. Denying any permission does not prevent you from maintaining manual repair records.
How do I restore KaratDocket Pro?
Open Settings, choose KaratDocket Pro, then Restore purchases. Use the Apple Account that made the subscription purchase. Apple controls billing and subscription status.
What happens at the three-active-repair free limit?
You can keep, search, export, archive, and delete existing records. Pro removes the active-repair capacity limit and removes the discreet KaratDocket footer from professional output.
How do I export or delete my data?
Use Settings for JSON or CSV export and complete local deletion. Individual repair tickets can also be exported as PDF or deleted from Repair tickets. Export first if you need a retained copy; Nexlevel cannot recover local data after deletion.
Does KaratDocket appraise jewelry or guarantee repair results?
No. KaratDocket documents information entered by the repair business. It is not appraisal, gemological, legal, insurance, tax, or repair-quality advice.
