Privacy policy

Short version: LayerMargin has no developer account system, advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, or developer-operated data server. Your workshop records stay in the app’s protected storage unless you explicitly export or share them.

Data you enter

LayerMargin stores the quote and production information you choose to provide, including product and customer names, optional customer email, printer and material profiles, print time, material weight, cost inputs, target margin, quote values, job dates, status, and actual cost.

Local storage

Records are stored in LayerMargin’s protected application container on your device. The developer does not receive or read this content. The app works without a LayerMargin account.

Purchases

Apple processes App Store purchases. LayerMargin reads verified StoreKit product and entitlement status to show localized prices, unlock Pro, restore access, and respond to expiration or revocation. The developer does not receive your payment-card details or Apple Account password.

Notifications

If you grant permission, LayerMargin schedules production reminders locally from job records already stored on the device. No developer server sends these notifications, and declining permission leaves the rest of the app available.

Apple Watch

The Apple Watch companion presents a compact quote and production-status experience. Data exchanged with a paired iPhone uses Apple’s device-to-device platform services; it is not sent to a developer-operated server.

Exports and sharing

PDF and CSV files are created only when you request them. Apple’s share sheet lets you choose a destination. After sharing, the selected app or service controls how the exported file is stored and processed.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

LayerMargin does not embed advertising, cross-app tracking, third-party analytics, or third-party crash-reporting SDKs. Apple may provide aggregated diagnostics only if you separately chose to share diagnostics with app developers in device settings.

Retention and deletion

Records remain until you delete them or remove the app. You can delete individual workshop records or clear all workshop data inside LayerMargin and export PDF or CSV copies first. Removing the app deletes its remaining local container from that device.

Security

LayerMargin requests complete file protection for its local application data and relies on Apple’s platform security and verified StoreKit transactions. No system is risk-free; protect your device passcode and review files before sharing them.

Children

LayerMargin is a business pricing tool and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect children’s personal information for the developer.
