iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch
LeftoverFirst targets iOS and iPadOS 18 or later, with a companion app for watchOS 11 or later. The final App Store product page is authoritative for released compatibility.
Quick troubleshooting
A reminder did not appear
Open LeftoverFirst Settings and check notification authorization, quiet hours, and the reminder's visible status. Then verify notifications are allowed for LeftoverFirst in system Settings. The queue still works when notifications are denied.
A Watch action is waiting
Keep the action queued and open LeftoverFirst on the paired iPhone. The phone must durably save the change before acknowledging it. Avoid repeating the action while its pending state is visible.
iCloud is not updating
Confirm that private iCloud sync is enabled in LeftoverFirst and that the same Apple account has iCloud Drive available on each device. Keep the local record; do not delete it as a first troubleshooting step.
Label text was not recognized
Retake the photo in even light, select a clearer image, paste the label text, or continue with manual entry. Apple Vision and field suggestions run on your device, and a failed suggestion never changes a confirmed record.
Purchases and subscriptions
Open LeftoverFirst Settings and choose Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account that completed the purchase. Product availability, localized price, introductory-offer eligibility, subscription renewal, billing, cancellation, and refunds are controlled by Apple.
- Check that the App Store can connect to the network.
- Choose Restore Purchases once and wait for the final status.
- If access still does not refresh, close and reopen LeftoverFirst, then try Restore Purchases once more.
- Email support with the app version and exact on-screen message. Do not send receipts containing personal information unless support explicitly requests a secure, minimized proof.
Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscriptions. For billing or refund help, visit Apple billing support. Deleting LeftoverFirst does not cancel a subscription.
Export, archive, and deletion
Use Settings to export a versioned copy of app-owned records before any destructive troubleshooting. Archive offers a reversible path for individual records. Permanent deletion requires confirmation and removes app-owned local records and media. If private iCloud sync is enabled, allow deletion to synchronize before removing the app from every device.
Camera, photos, and text capture
Camera access is requested only when you select camera capture. If access is denied or unavailable, use manual text or a photo already available through the picker. Apple Vision performs OCR locally, and label suggestions stay on your device. Microphone and speech access are requested only when you choose Dictate label; LeftoverFirst requires on-device recognition and does not save the audio.
Food-safety reminder
Dates, queue order, and reminders are organizational aids only. LeftoverFirst does not determine edibility, expiration, or safety and does not replace manufacturer labels or storage and reheating instructions, official guidance, dietary or medical advice, or personal judgment. Follow labels and official guidance, and discard food when uncertain.
Accessibility support
LeftoverFirst is designed for Dynamic Type, VoiceOver, Reduce Motion, high-contrast semantic status, and iPad keyboard and pointer use. If you encounter a barrier, include the screen, device, orientation, appearance, text size, and assistive technology in your message. Do not include private leftover content unless it is essential.
