Private records.
Clear boundaries.

What Lexivow keeps on your device, how limited Free advertising uses technical data and how to stay in control.

Your local records

Lexivow stores client names, projects, source and preferred terms, language pairs, examples, source references, user-recorded approvals, exceptions, private notes and revision history in the app’s local storage. These records are not uploaded to a NexLevel developer server. The app does not require an account.

The app uses Apple platform file protection for its local archive and voice notes. Access to your device, exported files and any storage provider you choose remains under your control. Keep your device protected and maintain a private backup if you need recovery.

On-device features & permissions

Candidate extraction analyzes text you intentionally paste using Apple’s on-device language tools. It suggests words, not translations. You supply the target term and review it before approval. No remote AI API receives the text.

When you choose to record a pronunciation note, the app requests microphone permission and saves the recording locally. Denying permission leaves written terminology features available. Text pronunciation uses Apple’s speech synthesis. Recorded audio is not sent to NexLevel and is not included in glossary exports or private JSON backups.

The Watch companion

The phone sends a complete snapshot of the selected client’s pinned approved terms through Apple WatchConnectivity. It includes the source and preferred term, client and project labels, exception text, revision number, saved time and appearance choice. It excludes private notes, source documents and unapproved drafts.

The watch stores its last received collection locally. Client changes, unpins and deletions replace that collection when delivery succeeds. An offline watch may still show the previous collection, with its saved time, until it reconnects. The app does not operate a developer-hosted synchronization service or iCloud record sync.

Exports & private backups

A client glossary export contains selected approved terminology and permitted source references. Private notes are excluded. Confirm you have permission to share any client material before exporting.

A private backup is different: it contains all clients, private notes, permissions and revision history. It is an unencrypted JSON file and excludes recorded audio. Saving to iCloud Drive or another Files provider is your explicit choice and subjects that file to the provider’s policies. Lexivow does not control or revoke files once exported.

Apple purchases

Apple processes subscriptions and other in-app purchases. Lexivow uses StoreKit transaction and entitlement information on device to determine access and support restoration. NexLevel does not receive your payment-card details through the app. Apple may process purchase information under its own privacy policy.

The app does not send terminology records or private notes to Google for ad targeting. Advertising data processing is described below; non-personalized ads do not mean that no data is collected.

Advertising & privacy choices

Free may show one small Google AdMob banner in Settings/help. Pro is ad-free, and Apple Watch has no ads. Capture, lookup, review, glossary export and the purchase screen do not display ads. Core terminology features remain usable offline.

Lexivow requests non-personalized ads, disables Google’s publisher first-party ID and requires Apple App Tracking Transparency authorization before starting Google Mobile Ads or loading a banner. Declining authorization skips ads and leaves all Free features available. We do not provide client names, terms, private notes, source text, audio, search queries or content keywords to the advertising SDK. These controls reduce personalization; they are not a claim that advertising is anonymous or collects no information.

Google’s Mobile Ads SDK and the advertising partners identified in the consent form may process device or app-scoped identifiers, IP address (including an estimated general location), diagnostic and performance information, ads displayed and interactions with ads or the app. Google’s standard consent form lists the configured partners and their requested purposes; Lexivow separately requests non-personalized ads. Google uses such information for advertising, measurement, service operation and reliability. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from partner apps.

Google’s User Messaging Platform checks applicable privacy requirements before an ad request and presents required choices. Use Advertising privacy options in Settings when available to revisit those choices. Consent requests themselves communicate with Google; an allowed ad request does not mean you have opted into personalized advertising. If the app cannot establish that ads may be requested, it skips the banner.

The app limits banner requests to one per app session, at least 30 minutes apart and no more than three within a rolling 24 hours. Automatic banner refresh is disabled. Consent or privacy-option requests are separate from these ad-request limits. Skipping or failing to load an ad does not block your glossary.

Retention & deletion

Local records remain until you remove them. Use Settings → Delete all records to remove the local archive and voice notes. Previously exported files and backups must be deleted separately from their saved locations. A paired watch receives an empty collection on its next successful update.

Restoring a private backup replaces the archive after your confirmation and removes old voice recordings. If a local save or deletion fails, the app reports it; check the result before assuming data has been removed. Deleting records or uninstalling the app does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Support correspondence

If you email support@nexlevel.com.br, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. Use a redacted example; do not send confidential client materials, private backups, passwords or payment details.

Support messages are used to respond to your request and retained as needed to handle the issue and meet legitimate security or legal obligations. Contact us about access or deletion of correspondence. We cannot retrieve local app records that you have not shared.
