Privacy policy

TankLedger is designed to collect no data for the developer. There is no TankLedger account, advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, or developer-operated data server.

Data you enter

Aquarium names, setup information, measurements, target bands, maintenance tasks, events, notes, and photos are stored locally on your device. The developer does not receive this content.

Optional iCloud sync

TankLedger Pro can optionally synchronize an aquarium snapshot using Apple CloudKit in your private iCloud database. Apple operates iCloud and processes this data under your Apple account and Apple’s terms. TankLedger’s developer has no account server and does not use your aquarium content for analytics, advertising, or profiling. Local changes remain queued if iCloud is unavailable.

Purchases

Apple processes App Store purchases. TankLedger reads verified StoreKit entitlement status on your device to unlock Pro features. The developer does not receive your payment-card details.

Notifications and photos

Maintenance reminders are scheduled locally only after you grant notification permission. TankLedger accesses only photos you explicitly select through Apple’s photo picker. You can remove event photos by deleting the related event or aquarium.

Exports

CSV and PDF files are created only when you request them. After you share an export, the destination you choose controls its handling.

Retention, export, and deletion

Your local data remains until you delete an aquarium, use “Erase all TankLedger data,” or remove the app. You can create a CSV export from Settings. Pro users can also create PDF reports. If iCloud sync is enabled, delete synced aquariums while connected so TankLedger can send explicit deletion tombstones before erasing all local data.

Diagnostics

Apple may provide developers with aggregated crash or performance diagnostics only if you have separately opted to share them with app developers in iOS settings. TankLedger does not embed its own analytics or crash-reporting SDK.

Children

TankLedger is a general-purpose aquarium log and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
