At a glance
ColorFolio Pro does not require an app account or sell client data. The vault works offline. You decide what client information to record. After the included free PDF, you may explicitly choose a rewarded video for one additional client PDF; Pro exports do not require videos.
Data you provide
The app may store professional profile details; client names, contact details and consent choices; sensitivities and professional notes; visit and formula information; before/after photos; voice-note transcripts; reminders; and purchase entitlement status.
Where data is stored
Vault records are stored locally using Apple’s protected application storage. Photos are copied to a protected app-only folder only when photo consent is recorded. Voice audio is used for Apple speech recognition when you request it; ColorFolio stores the editable transcript, not a permanent audio recording.
ColorFolio Pro users may explicitly sync an encrypted-field snapshot to their private CloudKit database. That snapshot can contain client names, optional contact details, formula data and notes linked to the user’s private iCloud account. Photos remain on-device and are not included in CloudKit snapshots. Apple processes iCloud data under Apple’s terms and privacy policy.
Purchases
Apple processes payments. ColorFolio receives product and entitlement information needed to unlock Pro, restore purchases and respond to expirations or revocations. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Permissions
Photo Library, camera, microphone, speech recognition, notifications and Face ID/device authentication are requested only when you use the related feature. You may continue typing records without voice access. Contact details are entered manually in version 1.0; Contacts permission is not required for core use.
Sharing and sale
We do not sell client data or send client names, contacts, sensitivity notes, formulas, photos or transcripts to the advertising service. Data may leave the app when you explicitly export/share a file, request private iCloud snapshot sync, invoke an Apple system service such as StoreKit or speech recognition, choose a video as described below, or where required by law.
Optional rewarded videos
After the included free client PDF has been used, an optional completed video earns one additional PDF credit on this device. A credit remains available until a PDF is successfully prepared, including when you later close its share sheet. An unavailable or incomplete video grants no credit. Video access requires internet and may be unavailable. Existing client records and local formula work remain available without watching an ad.
Google Mobile Ads and its User Messaging Platform may process coarse location inferred from the network address, device identifiers, product interaction, advertising data, crash data, performance data and other diagnostic data for advertising, analytics and service operation. These are SDK data, separate from the private vault. Requests use nonpersonalized treatment, with publisher personalization and publisher first-party identifiers disabled. ColorFolio does not request cross-app tracking permission and does not attach any client or professional content to ad requests.
Regional consent or opt-out choices appear when required before an ad request. You can revisit them through Settings → Ad privacy choices. Declining an optional video leaves the vault available. See Google’s Privacy Policy for its data practices. This policy describes the app; any website analytics or cookie choices are governed by the website’s own notices.
Retention, export and deletion
Records remain until you delete them. You can export individual client PDF/CSV files, create an encrypted file backup, delete a client and linked timeline, or delete the entire local vault inside Settings. Private iCloud snapshots can be replaced from the app; you may also manage iCloud data through Apple’s controls.
Security
Local application files use complete file protection. Backup files use AES-GCM encryption with a key held in the device Keychain. Optional biometric locking uses Apple’s device-owner authentication. No system is risk-free, so keep device software current and protect exported files.
Children
ColorFolio Pro is professional business software and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
Material policy changes will be posted here with a new effective date. We will not quietly introduce tracking or data sales.
