Eightwise Privacy Policy

Effective September 16, 2026. This policy covers the Eightwise: 8-Count Sheets app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, published by Nexlevel.

The short version

Eightwise does not collect your data. There is no account and no sign-in. Nothing you create is uploaded to us: no analytics, no advertising, no tracking. Your routines and imported music stay on your device.

What stays on your device

Routines. Titles, tempo, length, sections, cues and notes are stored in the app's private storage on your iPhone or iPad.
Imported music. When you import a track from Files, Eightwise keeps a private copy on your device so it can play and align the counts. The copy is never uploaded or shared by the app.
Settings. Your Dark Mode preference is stored on the device.

Your device's own backups, such as iCloud Backup or a computer backup, may include this app data, depending on your backup settings. Nexlevel cannot access those backups.

Permissions and system features

Files. Eightwise reads only the audio file you choose in the system file picker.
Microphone, camera, location, contacts, photos, health. Not used.
Count-in voice. The spoken "5, 6, 7, 8" is generated on your device by Apple's built-in speech synthesis.
Apple Watch. The Watch remote exchanges the current count and play or pause commands with your paired iPhone using Apple's WatchConnectivity. These messages go only between your own devices and are not sent to Nexlevel.
Notifications. Eightwise does not send notifications.

Purchases

Eightwise Studio subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles payment details under its own privacy policy. The app checks your purchase status with Apple on the device to unlock Studio features. Nexlevel does not receive your payment information.

Sharing and exporting

A count sheet PDF, or an export of your routines and music, leaves the app only when you choose to share or save it with the system share sheet or file picker. Where it goes is up to you.

Deleting your data

Delete a single routine from its options menu. Its imported music copy is deleted with it.
Delete everything in Settings → Your data → Delete all data.
Deleting the app removes all of its data from the device.

You can export all routines and music first in Settings → Your data → Export all routines and music.

Children

Eightwise is a planning tool for coaches and choreographers. It is not directed to children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If the app's data practices change, this page and its effective date will be updated before the change ships.
