Optional extra scans in version 1.1
Your first two receipt scans remain free. After those, choose Scan receipt → Watch video · earn one scan for one additional on-device receipt import, or enter items manually. A completed reward saves one local credit. Choose Scan receipt · use one credit, review detected items, then confirm. Only a successful saved import uses the credit; cancelling, unreadable photos or failed saves keep it. Earned credits survive relaunch. The Free limit of three saved bills remains separate; delete an unneeded bill to make room or explore Pro. Videos never grant Pro.
Video or privacy choices unavailable?
Videos and consent forms require internet and may be unavailable while Google reviews ad serving or when there is no eligible ad. Try later, or keep splitting manually and sharing text offline. Open Settings → Ad privacy choices to manage available consent and opt-out choices. No receipt photos, items, names, amounts or split details go to Google. Delete All Data also removes earned scan credits; Apple purchases remain restorable.
Scan and review a receipt
Choose Scan receipt, use the camera or photo library, then review every detected name and price. Thermal paper, folds, glare, handwriting, dark images, and unusual layouts can reduce recognition quality. Correct or remove any line before importing it.
Make the split
Add at least two people and one positive-price item. Assign every item to one or more people, then enter tax and tip. Shared items are divided equally among their assignees; tax and tip are allocated proportionally. Any leftover cents follow the stable person order so the displayed totals always reconcile.
Free and Pro access
Manual splitting and text summaries are free. The free tier includes two receipt scans and up to three saved bills. FairFork Pro is a $9.99 one-time, family-shareable purchase that unlocks unlimited scans, bills and groups, plus image and CSV exports. Local storefront pricing may vary.
Restore a purchase
Open Settings → Restore Purchases while signed in with the Apple Account that purchased FairFork Pro. Family members should also confirm that Purchase Sharing is enabled. FairFork never asks for your Apple Account password.
Delete local data
Open Settings → Delete All Data and confirm. This removes bills and saved groups from the device. Deleting the app also removes its local container. A completed App Store purchase remains associated with the Apple Account and can be restored.
Camera or photo access
If access was denied, open the iOS Settings app, select FairFork, and enable Camera or Photos. You can always enter a bill manually without granting either permission.
