Tempermark Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

This policy explains how the Tempermark app (“Tempermark”, “the app”) handles information. The controller is NexLevel (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at [email protected].

In short: Tempermark has no account, keeps your notebook on your device, has no analytics and does not track you. The only third party that processes data is Google, and only in the Free version when you choose to watch an optional rewarded ad.

1. No account

You do not need to create an account or sign in to use Tempermark, and we do not ask for your name, email address or phone number inside the app.

2. Your notebook data

The data you enter — trials, machines, materials, photos and notes — is stored only on your device, in the app’s protected container. We do not receive it and we do not run a server that holds it. Because it lives on your device, it is included in your own device backups (for example, an iCloud or computer backup that you have turned on).

When you import a photo, Tempermark re-encodes it. This removes location and camera metadata (such as EXIF data) from the stored copy.

3. Analytics and tracking

Tempermark contains no analytics and no tracking. We do not sell your data. The app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission, because it does not track you.

4. Exports and backups

PDF setup sheets, CSV files and full backups are created only when you choose to create them. They are handed to the system share sheet, and you pick the destination (for example Files, Mail, AirDrop or another app). Once you share a file, its handling is governed by the destination you chose, not by Tempermark.

5. Purchases

Tempermark Pro subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. Apple handles them under its own privacy policy.

6. Apple Watch

If you use the Apple Watch app, your iPhone sends the Watch a minimal summary over Apple’s WatchConnectivity framework: the titles and values of proven setups, pending trials and timers. Photos and notes are not sent to the Watch. This transfer happens between your own devices.

7. Notifications

Tempermark uses local notifications only, and only for follow-up timers that you create. They are scheduled on your device; no notification server is involved.

8. Ads in the Free version (Google AdMob)

The Free version of Tempermark offers optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob. An ad is requested only when you tap “Watch an ad” to earn a single PDF export or a 24-hour test-grid pass. Tempermark requests ads as non-personalized.

Where required (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and certain US states), Google’s User Messaging Platform shows consent choices. You can reopen these choices at any time in Settings.

To serve ads, measure them and help prevent fraud, Google may process device and usage data such as your IP address, device identifiers and ad interactions. For details on how Google uses data from apps that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Pro users see no ads.

9. Children

Tempermark is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Deleting your data

You can remove everything Tempermark stores by opening Settings › Delete all data in the app, or by deleting the app from your device. Because we hold no copy of your notebook, there is nothing to request from us. Files you exported and shared elsewhere, and any device backups you made, are not affected and can be deleted by you where they are stored.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will be described here before they take effect in a new version of the app.
