Answers to common questions, and how to reach us.
Frequently asked questions
How do I mark a setup as proven?
Open a trial and record what you observed first — a result is needed before a setup can be marked proven. Then choose Mark proven. The setup is then listed as proven and is offered for recall the next time you start a trial for the same material and machine.
What does “Change one variable” do?
It starts a new trial from an existing one so you can alter a single field. The other settings are copied from the trial (or from the last proven setup for that machine and material, if there is one), so any difference in the result can be tied to the one change you made. Tempermark never fills in values for you.
Why do some values say Unknown?
If you leave a value empty, Tempermark records it as Unknown, never as zero. This keeps your notebook honest about what you actually measured or set.
How do I back up or move my notebook?
Use the export screen to create a backup file (.tempermark). It is handed to the system share sheet, where you choose where to save it. To move your notebook to another device, restore that file with Restore from backup. You can also export your trials as CSV. Backups include photos unless you have turned Photos off in the export options. Your notebook is also part of your own device backups.
How do I restore purchases?
Open Settings and choose Restore purchases (it is also available on the Pro screen). Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account that made the purchase.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Go to Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on your device, choose Tempermark Pro and cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. You can also use Manage subscription in the app’s Settings.
How do rewarded ads work, and how do I change ad privacy choices?
In the Free version you can tap Watch an ad to earn one PDF export, or a 24-hour test-grid pass. Ads are optional and requested as non-personalized. Where required, a consent form from Google’s User Messaging Platform is shown. To review your choices later, open Settings and choose Ad privacy choices. Pro has no ads. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Does Tempermark recommend settings?
No. Tempermark records the settings you used and what you observed. It never recommends operating values and never controls machines. Always follow your equipment and material safety guidance.
